Come, Thou long expected Jesus
Born to set Thy people free;
From our fears and sins release us,
Let us find our rest in Thee.
Israel’s Strength and Consolation,
Hope of all the earth Thou art;
Dear Desire of every nation,
Joy of every longing heart.
Born Thy people to deliver,
Born a child and yet a King,
Born to reign in us forever,
Now Thy gracious kingdom bring.
By Thine own eternal Spirit
Rule in all our hearts alone;
By Thine all sufficient merit,
Raise us to Thy glorious throne.

I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,' says the LORD Almighty. Haggai 2:7

Beautiful, Cindee! I really love Charles Wesley hymns. And that scripture ties it all together so beautifully!
We are focusing on this hymn this week, as well as O Come O Come Emmanuel, and play the CD that comes with the book O Come All Ye Faithful by Joni Earekson Tada. We try to sing along but none of us can seem to reach that high with our squeaky voiceboxes.
