Enjoy your blog greatly. Will stop by again.

Ivy Vega
www.ivysmind.comIvy Vega from www.ivysmind.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12614765420259792416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14818800.post-2298068939744476372008-01-05T21:41:00.000-07:002008-01-05T21:41:00.000-07:00Cindee,Holiness, too seems to be what God has put ...Cindee,
Holiness, too seems to be what God has put on my husband's and my heart. I gave him Jerry Bridges The pursuit of Holiness (audio cd) for Christmas, and he was really jazzed, because he really sensed the Lord moving him in this area. How awesome the
Lord is doing so in your families lives as well.
As for the programs, I am unfamiliar with them, but encourage you and your husband to stand firm in truth, not by moralism to appear outwardly holy but for true inward holiness. Your daughter may not be happy now about it but true joy is not getting what we want, it's about enjoying God forever...which is something I am still growing in.Robertahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09455835076577157629noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14818800.post-44683275197486598162008-01-05T07:31:00.000-07:002008-01-05T07:31:00.000-07:00Sorry, I posted my comment before I had a chance t...Sorry, I posted my comment before I had a chance to identify myself.

Georgia Mom
http://georgiamom.wordpress.com/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14818800.post-85919851350586536882008-01-05T07:30:00.000-07:002008-01-05T07:30:00.000-07:00You bring up a lot of good point in this post. I'm often critized by outside family members for not exposing my 8 year old to the latest trendy movies and shows. And I keep telling them "why would I willing expose my child to something she's shown no interest in". She doesn't know who Hannah Montanna is and really doesn't care about HSM, so why would I willingly open that door, if she's not even knocking on it! But, I've never been able to put my finger on what bothers me about those movies and shows. I know in my heart they are wrong, but wasn't sure how to put that into words. I love your list of criteria, especially the focus on self, lack of respect and the answers lie within part. Thankfully my daughter is still only 8 and we've not traveled down this path yet. She still loves Curious George and Cyberchase. Can you tell she's homeschooled? Not many public school kids can get away with watching those shows. I love her innocense. Why would I want to purposefully take that away? Great insight and I plan to read more.

Blessings,
Georgia MomAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
